4 Ways to Triumph Over Your Fears and Get Things Done

Abraham - October 31, 2013

4 Ways to Triumph Over Your Fears and Get Things Done

In her book Master Your Fears: How to Triumph Over Your Worries and Get On With Your Life, psychologist Linda Sapadin presents an action plan for addressing your fears, including the following key points that can be applied to the business world.

Change how you think: Undertake an action you've been thinking about taking, without regard for the result. "For the entrepreneur, it could be that you want to contact someone who could be helpful. What if he blows you off? It doesn't matter. The goal will be to take the action, not the outcome," Sapadin says.

Change how you speak: Use positive rather than negative language. "I tell people to say it even if [they] don't believe: 'I can do this' vs. 'I can't do this'--that's fear-talk rather than calm-talk. Develop a habit of using calm-talk even if your first reaction is fear-talk," she advises.

Change how you act: When you're not sure, fake it. "You don't have to feel confident on the inside to look confident on the outside," Sapadin says. "Many accomplished people feel shaky--terrified--but they go on to do what they do."

Change how you use your body: Sapadin likens the body to a circuit breaker--don't overload it. "As you're feeling fearful, your body is tightening up," she says. She recommends relaxation exercises such as deep breathing, yoga or meditation. Better yet, get away for a long weekend.

Photos:Kim Kardashian’s Best Halloween Costume

Abraham - October 31, 2013

Kim Kardashian

Ralph Notaro / Splash News

Only a fashionista like Kim Kardashian could make Halloween look this good!

Kim has worn plenty of amazing Halloween costumes over the years, and since the holiday falls on a Thursday this year, we thought a little Halloween-themed Throwback Thursday would be in order!

One of our favorites is Kim's Catwoman costume from her big Halloween birthday bash last year. Not only did Kim nail the classic Michelle Pfeiffer look from Batman Returns, but her whole family joined in with Batman-related costumes...including Kanye West as the Dark Knight himself!

That isn't the only time Kim went with a Batman theme, though. Back in 2011, Kim opted for a different villain and went as Poison Ivy!

Our very favorite of Kim's past Halloween costumes might be her choice for 2009, when Kim picked out this ultra-sexy Princess Jasmine costume:

Halloween, Kim Kardashian

How hot is that? Kim totally nailed the look!

Of course, Kim has worn plenty more amazing Halloween costumes over the years...check out the gallery to see them all and let us know which one is your favorite!

Play the video below to see the trick behind it

How could anyone look this beautiful? The answer is, no one can. Photographic and “airbrush” manipulation of images of women for presentation in media has surfaced as a controversy again after a copy of a video created in 2012 went viral on Wednesday. The original video, seen here, was released by the GlobalDemocracy.com as part of a campaign to encourage mandatory disclaimers when images are “airbrushed” through makeup or other means. Watch how specifically the image is altered, from the model’s facial expression and appearance right down to “removing” the dirt from the bottom of the her feet. CREDIT: GlobalDemocracy.com   Do you think such a disclaimer would make any difference in how women view their bodies?

Kidnappers Set Free Paramount Ruler In Akwa Ibom For N15 Ransom

Abraham - October 31, 2013

The paramount ruler of Esit Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, Chief Ubong Assam, has been freed by his captors.

Chief Assam was kidnapped about 10 days ago by gunmen who took him to an unknown destination and demanded N150 million as ransom.

The kidnappers were upset over the reported hijacking of oil spill compensation funds accruing to Esit Eket from ExxonMobil.

The funds, over N200 million, were used to refurbish the palace of the monarch, who doubled as the contractor, rather than the intended community development.

The hoodlums later reduced the ransom to N50 million but gave a one-week ultimatum for the money to be paid.

A source who was part of the negotiations that led to Chief Assam’s release said the hoodlums collected N15 million.

The source, who confirmed the freedom of the traditional ruler to SaharaReporters today, said the paramount ruler was in a sound and healthy state, adding, “As I speak, I am with him and his family members.

“We are very happy to see our paramount ruler back in Esit Eket,’’ the source said.

John Patrick, the Police Public Relations Officer in Akwa Ibom, confirmed the release

'I don't charge for features', Davido says

Abraham - October 31, 2013

'I don't charge for features', Davido says

Davido doesn't charge to feature alongside other artists on their tracks.

With a debut album out and a bag of hits under his belt, it won't be fair to call Davido a starter anymore. O.B.O now ranks as a top artiste with an A-List status in the Nigerian music scene with the likes of 2face Idibia, Psquare, Iyanya, Wizkid and co.

So it's a bit surprising to hear Davido say he doesn't charge for features.

The Pop singer responded to a fan on Twitter who felt it would take a huge ''budget'' to get him (Davido) on a track. ''I don't charge for features'', Davido replied.

Nigerian rapper Ice Prince also says he doesn't charge for features. Olamide doesn't seem to belong to that school of thought though; a former representative of his, Rachael, told NET the 'Durosoke' rapper currently charges N1m.

A former professional footballer was killed and his severed head left on the doorstep of his home

Abraham - October 31, 2013

Watch this video

João Rodrigo Silva Santos didn't come home Monday night.

When the former professional footballer's wife opened the door on her way to work the next morning, she found his severed head on their front step.

The head was inside a backpack, police said. Santos' eyes and tongue had been gouged out, according to Brazilian media reports.

Now police in Rio de Janeiro are investigating the grisly killing, though they haven't said who they believe is behind it.

Santos, 35, was a forward for a number of mostly second-tier Rio de Janeiro football teams before retiring and opening a health foods store.

His death comes at a time when football fans worldwide are shifting their focus toward Brazil, which will host the World Cup in 2014.

Late last year, the country announced it was pumping $900 million dollars into its security budget to make the competition "one of the most protected sports events in history."

World football's ruling body FIFA had expressed concern about Brazil's increasing crime rate, particularly in Sao Paulo.

One police official told Brazil's O Globo newspaper that authorities are investigating whether a recent post on the store's Facebook page could be connected to the crime. The post showed surveillance footage and asked for help catching shoplifters.

Police plan to compare the images to surveillance footage taken at the shop Monday night, chief homicide investigator Rafael Rangel told the newspaper.

The former football player was last seen Monday night, when two suspects entered his vehicle, CNN affiliate TV Record reported.

On Wednesday morning, police said they found parts of a man's body in a river outside the city and were testing the DNA to see whether the remains belong to Santos, TV Record said.

Authorities have interviewed 10 witnesses so far in the case, police said.

According to local media, Santos' wife, Geisa Silva, worked for the police in one of Rio's shantytowns, but as a social worker giving swimming lessons to children, not as a policewoman.

She told investigators she did not know of any threats made against her husband, according to TV Record.

Some of Santos' relatives and neighbors told O Globo that he didn't have any enemies and said they didn't know what could have motivated the attack.

Santos started his football career when he was 16 years old, and played for several Brazilian club teams. He played for the Bangu club team from 1996 to 2005, according to a biography on the club's unofficial website.

In 1998, he played for Honduras' Olimpia club. And in 2003 he played for Sweden's Oster club, the website says.

The website calls Santos a "humble hero," describing how goals he scored brought victory to another club team he joined.

According to the FutRio.net football news site, Santos left the field earlier this year to focus on his business.

The site reported that club players in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday honored Santos with a minute of silence.

Fraud Rocks FCT, Six AGIS, Administrative Staff Suspended

Abraham - October 31, 2013

SaharaReporters has learnt that several administrative staff of the Federal Capital Territory have been suspended over a recently discovered fraud whose monetary scope is yet to be determined.

“It runs into millions of naira,” said a source at the FCT which is under the supervision of Bala Mohammed, a member of President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet.

So far, the fraud has led to the suspension of six administrative members, most of them from the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS).

The suspended AGIS staff include Oluwadamilola Temidayo Adetiloye, a planning officer, Wasiu Olatunde Olajide, a program officer, Mohammed Mohammed Saba, a land officer, and Danladi Daniel, a clerical officer. Two staff of the Land Administration Department, Yusuf Baba and Blessing U. Nwiyi, were also affected by the suspensions.

Our source disclosed that the suspended staff members were accused of swindling hundreds of millions of naira from thousands of prospective land owners.

Our source quoted FCT Minister, Mr. Mohammed, as warning that he would not spare staff involved in any acts of fraud. The minister added that the suspensions were meant to serve as a deterrent to others who may be tempted to indulge in fraudulent activities, adding that the law must take its course.

However, one of the victims of the land scams told SaharaReporters that many other FCT officers were involved in fraudulent activities. He added that the minister had no record of prosecuting or even disciplining corrupt staff members.

Embattled Stella Oduah Shuns House Committee Hearing As Cars Presented To The Committee Are Different From The Ones Bought By The NCAA

Abraham - October 31, 2013

Maduka Cosmos, whose Coscharis Motors sold the controversial armoured cars to a department of the Ministry Civil Aviation, has told the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation the matter that his company followed due process.

Mrs. Stella Oduah, the Minister who is implicated in the alleged fraud, is absent at the hearing, from which Premium Times is carrying live updates.

“Absence of the Minister is a slap on the face of the House,” said an angry Jerry Manwe, a member of the committee from Taraba State.  Last week, the committee gave Mrs. Oduah up till yesterday to appear before it, recognizing that she was away in Israel on official duty.

“To the best of my knowledge, we followed all due process,” Coscharis said.  “We were interviewed by SSS. We were interviewed by the National Security Adviser. Every due process by law was followed. We do business with morality.”

The Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Manasa Daniel Jatau, has told the committee that Coscharis imported the cars without paying import duties because there was a waiver from the Ministry of Finance.  He added that Coscharis obtained the waiver claiming the armoured cars were part of 300 vehicles being imported for the Sports Festival in Lagos last year.  The impression given, therefore, was that the beneficiary of the waiver would be the government of Lagos State.

15:45

The cars inspected by the House committee yesterday, Tuesday, are different from the ones stated in the documents between NCAA and Coscharis, the reps said.

Lawmakers say they saw cars with different chassis number from those on the communication between NCAA and Coscharis.

But Coscharis said since it did not inspect the cars with the House members, it cannot say whether that was the car they delivered to NCAA. The firm insists it has done no wrong.

15:31

Coscharis admits telling the Ministry of Finance/NSA the cars were meant for Lagos state government, but said the arrangement was a usual “sponsor practice” for an event like the sports festival, and there was nothing wrong with that.

The company insists it did not lie. It said during events the company gives cars for use by government, in exchange for waivers that would be used for importing new ones as replacement.

With a lot of gusto, Coscharis said it price was right. But lawmakers have busted that claim by revealing that the firm sent different prices to NCAA and NSA.

Coscharis also claims the car in question goes for about N87 .7 million(factory price) without tax, shipping etc.

But a lawmaker has confirmed that he received a quotation from an American firm for the same car for about N42 million.

Jerry Manwe( a member): “Your own bullet proof is not manufactured in the moon”

Coscharis says a seven series in America is different with what they got from Europe.

Again, the committee said the cars they inspected yesterday are different9in terms of chassis number) from those stated in the documents between Coscharis and NCAA.

15: 07

Coscharis’ Maduka: To the best of my knowledge, we followed all due process. We were interviewed by SSS. We were interviewed by the National Security Adviser. Every due process by law was followed. “We do business with morality,” he says.

Another Coscharis official: Armoured cars are in levels; Level B7 is the highest for any civilian/VIP armoured cars. More than that is for military tanks.

Coscharis: The controversial cars are level B7. The BMW 760 series, bought by NCAA, goes for 418 thousand Euro from factory without shipping cost, taxes, etc.

Coscharis offers to demonstrate a powerpoint to show how it arrived at the cost. But is disallowed by committee.

14.55

Coscharis’ Maduka: “People have spoken, different media have written, I kept quiet. Nobody has called me to ask anything. But I thank God for this opportunity to state my own side of the story.”

“People have called me from US embassy to ask when did you start money laundering.”

He says the whole controversy is “politically motivated”. He pleads to be allowed to speak.

Mr Maduka said the matter is so important that his Uncle died and will be buried tomorrow, but he has to attend the sitting.

He said he is prepared to give details how Coscharis arrived at the price.

14.46

First Bank asked to step aside. Coscharis takes over.

Coscharis chief, Cosmas Maduka, calls the car scandal “very controversial matter that has made newspaper headlines for two consecutive weeks” as he takes the hot seat.

14.37

First Bank cannot explain how the loan given to NCAA for all its 54 cars climbed from earlier stated N564 million to N643 million.

The bank claimed earlier that the difference was because the two armoured cars were not included-apparently untrue because of the cost.

Under questioning by the committee, the bank now says only the NCAA can explain the difference; the bank says it was only concerned about what the NCAA as a customer asked for.

“Our job as financier are based on what the customers are asking for”

14.29

Interaction with First Bank representative continues…

First Bank: The armoured BMWs were not part of the first order from NCAA which comprised mainly Land Cruisers totaling less than N600 million.

House chair, Nkiruka Onyejeocha: So could it be that the BMWs were an afterthought?

First Bank: That’s for the NCAA to answer.

14.24

“Absence of the minister is a slap on the face of the House,” Jerry Manwe, a member of the committee from Taraba state said, apparently angered by the minister’s absence.

14.23

First Bank official, Seyi Oyefeso, that oversaw the transaction addressed the House committee on behalf of the Executive Director of the bank.

First Bank was invited to make proposals alongside other banks and tender was opened publicly on 21 of May, 2013 in the presence of other banks and media

First Bank was afterwards shortlisted alongside 7 others.

First Bank granted a loan facility of N643 million for purchase of assorted cars.

14.19

The Customs representatives at the hearing said Coscharis lied to the Ministry of Finance and NSA, making them to believe that the cars were for Lagos state government, for the National Sports festival.

The NSA office issued End User certificate without knowing that it was doing so for cars to be delivered to Stella Oduah or the NCAA.

So, in a way, the NSA office is right to have told PREMIUM TIMES it did not issue end user certificate for any bullet proof cars for Minister Oduah and the NCAA.

14.11

Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Manasa Daniel Jatau, said the following

The two cars were imported through Tin Can Port 2; Imported from Antwerp Netherlands.

The vehicles were cleared 19/6/2013.

Coscharis imported the cars without paying import duties since there was a waiver from the ministry of finance.

Coscharis obtained the waiver claiming the armoured cars were part of 300 vehicles imported for the Sports festival in Lagos last year, and therefore the beneficiary was Lagos state government.

The due import duty should have been N10.1 million.

The cars had an End User Certificate from the NSA office in the name of Coscharis.

The waiver obtained by Coscharis was for one year; as such the time of importation this year was covered.

Customs admit its laws requires that it enforces duty on any item for which waiver was obtained, which was not used for the purpose stated-in this case, for Sports festival.

13.53

Car dealers as well as end users of armoured cars are mandated to seek authorization from the office of the National Security Adviser, NSA, before ordering or importing such vehicles into Nigeria.

Last week, reliable sources at the office of the NSA told PREMIUM TIMES no authorization certificate was ever issued to either Minister Oduah or the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to procure the controversial vehicles.

13.50

Nigerian Customs confirmed that the two cars were imported and cleared at Tin Can 2.

The Customs said the import duty on the two cars which should have been N10 million plus were not paid because there was a waiver note issued by the finance ministry.

Customs also confirmed there was an End User certificate issued by the office of the National Security Adviser, NSA.

13.43

The hearing, proposed to start at noon, started 25 minutes late. The minister is absent at the hearing. The committee said it will take a position on that later

10 Easy Ways to Minimize Stress

Abraham - October 30, 2013

10 Easy Ways to Minimize Stress

As if there aren't enough threats to your business, the biggest hazard may be one you can't see: chronic stress. Hiding in plain sight, this toxic saboteur can ruin the best-laid plans with a trip to the ER and a sinkhole of medical bills. You may think you're handling it, but that's usually an illusion, supplied by the adrenaline released by the stress response, which masks the damage to your body by giving you a sense you're powering through it.

Brian Curin, 39, thought he was managing risk well as president of the footwear retailer Flip Flop Shops, which has more than 90 locations. Yes, there was pressure, but he exercised and ate well. He did feel a little off, though, and had a faint ache of something resembling heartburn.

Curin decided to pay his doctor a visit. Blood work, a resting EKG and a respiration test were negative, but a stress test and an angiogram turned up a big problem: four blocked arteries, one of them at 100 percent--not what Curin expected at his age. Without open-heart surgery, he could have been dead within weeks.

"I was extremely lucky," says Curin, whose wake-up call prompted him to start a campaign, The Heart to Sole: Creating a Stress-Free America, to lobby for stress-testing at all companies and to support the American Heart Association's My Heart. My Life. program. "If something doesn't feel right, it's probably not. Get it checked out."

Long-term risk-taking and the demands of wearing multiple hats make entrepreneurs easy prey for chronic stress, which compromises the immune system, increases bad cholesterol and decreases the good kind. Bravado and busyness can keep entrepreneurs in denial mode until the paramedics arrive.

You're not much good to your business from six feet under. Keep the sirens at bay with these essential strategies.

  • Pay attention to your body. Insomnia, heart palpitations, anxiety, bowel issues--they're trying to tell you something. See your doctor.
  • Make stress-testing as routine as dental checkups.
  • Cut stress by reducing time urgency. Every minute is not life or death.
  • Identify the story behind the stress and reframe it from catastrophic to a new story: "Yes, I've got 300 e-mails, but I can handle it."
  • Build stress-relief techniques into your schedule--meditation, progressive relaxation, exercise, a hobby.
  • Set boundaries. Sixteen hours of work a day is not sustainable. Find the "just enough" point in a given day or project.
  • Hire somebody. Doing it yourself can cost well more than the price of a helping hand.
  • Step back. Brains have to reset every
  • 90 minutes. Breaks increase mental functioning and interrupt stress.
  • Get a life. The best stress buffer is a life beyond work. Remember that?

9 Habits Every Woman Must Ditch

Abraham - October 30, 2013

9 Habits Every Woman Must Ditch

While most of us make it a point to eat healthy and exercise as often as possible, we tend to ignore other simple things that actually take a toll on our well-being. Find out if you are compromising on your health everyday by indulging in these habits that you must say goodbye to pronto...

Wearing heels often: Do your back and feet a favour and keep the high heels only for special occasions. Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian may swear by their towering stilettos but they also have a battery of help to cater to their every need. An alarming number of women have started wearing heels on a daily basis, or every other day. And experts say that wearing high heels affects posture, puts a lot of pressure on joints, and at times even lead to conditions like painful bunions, hammer toes, back pain and arthritis. Not to mention the risk of twisting your leg and falling down.

Damage control: Ensure that if you have to wear heels often, they aren't more than 1.5 inches. Alternatively, carry a pair of flats while you travel and wear heels only for some time. Rest your feet after wearing heels by soaking feet in warm water.

Lugging around a heavy handbag: Most womens hangbags weigh an average two to five kilos. Shocked? You should be. The sheer number of things women keep and carry in their handbags can scare most men off. But carrying around such heavy bags put your health at risk — you're inviting a health problems like back, neck and shoulder pain. Your posture also goes for a toss — lugging around a heavy bag will make you slouch sooner or later.

Damage control: Make it a habit to empty your bag every week or two and carry only absolutely necessary items. Or even better — switch to a smaller bag to avoid the temptation of putting more things in your handbag.

Not removing your makeup at night: Sometimes even the most meticulous women give in and don't remove their makeup before turning in at night. While this cardinal sin is a strict no-no, what you should know is that leaving makeup on all night is inviting skin problems. Your face needs to be cleaned of the makeup, dirt and oil at the end of the day or you will face problems like clogged pores, tired looking skin and pimples. Wearing eye makeup overnight can cause eye irritation or even infection.

Damage control: Keep a bottle makeup remover and cotton swabs right next to your bed so that no matter how tired you are, you can just reach out and remove the makeup.

Trying to outdo men at drinking: Among those women who feel they can drink as much as men if not more? Do yourself a favour and stay away from such drinking competitions. On an average, women not only weigh lesser than men, they also have lesser body water to dilute the alcohol, meaning they get drunk faster. Not to mention the damage you do to your liver by these binge drinking sessions.

Damage control: Let the men drink themselves silly. Recognise your limits and stick to them.

Wearing ill-fitting bras: Over a whopping 65% of women are thought to wear the wrong sized bra. And wearing an ill-fitting bra can have repurcussions like neck, back and breast pain, bad posture, skin irritation and even breathing problems. Not only will your clothes sit badly on you but you will also slouch a bit.

Damage control: Go to a lingerie store and get yourself measured by an expert so that you know your exact size. And since womens bodies tend to change, get yourself measured once a year.

Dwelling over the past: When you refuse to let go or stop thinking of your past or worrying incessantly about the future, you are damaging your present as well your future. Mental stress can drain you of energy and affect you in more ways than you realise. And according to studies, women have a higher chance of suffering from stress-related disorders than men.

Damage control: If you find yourself depressed or anxious, ask yourself what is causing it. Is it a broken relationship or health woes? Address the problem at the root and don't be afraid of asking for help.

Worrying about looks: Vanity affects both the sexes but it affects a far larger number of women than men. And women have a range of body issues, which can take a toll on them mentally. Going on numerous diets, having eating disorders and undergoing excessive cosmetic surgery can cause you physical harm.

Damage control: Toss those beauty magazines in the trash and improve your body image by making a conscious effort. Be happy with what you've been given.

Emotional eating: When was the last time you reached out for that comfort food and guiltily ate it? Women are genetically more emotional than men while comfort eating affects both sexes, it is said that men tend to eat emotionally when they're happy and women when they are upset. And women tend to satiate their cravings with sweet, high calorie foods instead of healthier options.

Damage control: Next time instead of allowing the carvings to get the better of you (and your waistline), distract yourself with something other than food.

Not sleeping enough: Do you get your eight hours of sleep every night? Or do you scrimp and then sleep all weekend? Don't blame a hectic lifestyle or stress on not getting enough sleep. Not only can inadequate sleep make you feel lethargic, it can also make you look like hell, apart from causing accidents, overeating and an increased heart disease risk. Sleep affects your blood pressure and mood more than it affects men.

Damage control: Go to sleep early as often as you can and wake up at the same time everyday.

scientists suggest that you need to experience at least eight hugs a day in order to feel happier and more content with life and other little-known health facts

Abraham - October 30, 2013

According to recent scientific studies, people suffering from chronic depression have responded positively after consuming bananas on a regular basis.

Things You Didn't Know reports that the active ingredients in a banana contain tryptophan, which triggers the brain to produce more serotonin, also known as "the happy hormone".

This active brain neurotransmitter is known to have positive effects on our behaviour, moods and even makes us relaxed if we are under a lot of stress.

If bananas are not in your list of favourite foods, you could try hugging to boost your mood instead.  Things You Didn't Know also reported that a hug that lasts for 20 seconds releases oxytocin, one of the most powerful neurotransmitters in our brain.

It’s a quite unique chemical compound that can only be found in mammals and requires specific stimulating techniques in order to be released naturally. One of these techniques is hugging. After years of experiments scientists have concluded that only physical touch between humans, especially loved ones, can facilitate the most potent secretion of oxytocin.

It has been proven that hugging for up to 20 seconds can create such an emotional cocktail in two people that a strong bonding might emerge instantaneously, reported Things You Didn't Know.

The logical explanation of this phenomenon is that a person with high levels of oxytocin in their system is more likely to be a lot happier, hence “contaminate” you with positive emotions through hugging and therefore make you happier and earn your trust.

Last but not least, scientists suggest that you need to experience at least eight hugs a day in order to feel happier and more content with life.

And did you know that owning a cat can potentially reduce your risk of a heart attack by nearly one third? This claim was made by a team of University of Minnesota's Stroke Institute in Minneapolis researchers who conducted a 10 year study of more than 4,000 Americans, Medical News Today reported.

The findings, presented at a stroke conference in America, showed that 3.4 per cent of the cat owners died from a heart attack over 10 years.Among the group who had never owned a cat the rate was 5.8 per cent.

Two-Year Old Girl badly scalded by hot water while maid was cooking

Abraham - October 30, 2013

The maid was steaming breakfast in the kitchen when she heard the toddler scream.
The two-year-old girl had wandered into the kitchen and apparently knocked over an unattended pot, spilling boiling water onto herself.
The accident happened last Friday at about 8am, reported Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao.

According to the girl’s mother, who wanted to be known only as Mrs Tan, the toddler was at home alone with the maid as both her and her husband had left for work.
After her maid called to tell her about the incident, Mrs Tan called her mother-in-law, who called for an ambulance after she rushed to see her granddaughter.

The girl’s father, who wanted to be known only as Mr Tan, told The New Paper that the girl was rushed to Singapore General Hospital, and later moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at KK Woman’s and Children’s Hospital.
The accident left her with second-degree burns on the lower parts of her face, her shoulders and her chest.
Lianhe Wanbao reported that the toddler developed a fever after she was admitted.
