Shanesha Taylor, who faced being tried on two felony child abuse charges, said gratitude was the only thing she felt.
"I'm grateful for the offer that was extended to me and the opportunity to resolve this situation as well as to show my intentions," said Taylor, who shed a few tears while standing outside the courthouse.
Witnesses now say a woman did not leave her children in the car while she got a haircut. In fact, she and her kids were in a postal store before she was locked out of her car, and it was all caught on camera.
The video of what happened Monday at a parking lot in this Houston suburb went viral, and the man who shot the pictures got it rolling when he claimed a mother left her kids locked inside a hot car.
"She came out of the hair place, from what I’ve seen," said Gabriel Del Valle.
But the story took a new turn on Tuesday when other witnesses said this mother isn't guilty of anything.
“It's not like she left the kids in the car... no," said one.
“It’s not like she did something wrong," said another.
