Over a week after 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer (Aug. 9), another officer-involved shooting has taken place in St. Louis. A cop has shot and killed a man who allegedly tried to rob a convenience store and was carrying a knife, Fox2Now reports. The shooting took place just before 1pm on Tuesday (Aug. 19) at McLaran and Riverview outside of a market. The suspect reportedly refused to put down the weapon and tried to attack police before being shot and killed. The shooting didn't take place far from Ferguson, Missouri, where protests have been taking place over the course of several days.
