Competitors from across the country as well as abroad will travel to the Ikeja Water Park in Lagos on September 28 for the Mr. Flex Body Building Championship.
Event organisers confirmed to the National Mirror that the N5million in prizes will be won, with the winner walking away with N1million and a power bike.
"Contestants include former Mr. California, David Ekpe, current NPC Champion, Bada Lekan; current Mr. Flex Nigeria champion, Femi Adeoye; and veteran builder, Abdul Rasak, who currently occupies number six position in Africa, among others," coordinator of the event, Stephen Okoli-Odene, said.
"The essence is to help athletes to excel in their career and to raise the standard of Nigerian youths in body building and other power sports.
"We have changed the perception of Nigerians who see body builders as thugs and miscreants and we thank corporate bodies like Simba, Zenith Sports, CWay water and others for their support in this regard."
The event will be sponsored by 7UP, Challarams Plc and Vitamilk.
