Side Ticker
While the layout is simply amazing, we wish Twitter had a small ticker at the side like Facebook that kept updating Tweets of those following while we are busy with other things like the Trending Topics...

Image Expansion
While images on facebook appear in full length and you get a preview to albums right there, on your wall, Twitter images are often short links to the actual image. That's cool and all as Twitter is all about KISS, a bigger image for a change might be good.
Other DM Folder
While Twitter does have a personal messaging service, you can DM only those who follow you. It would be nice to have an 'other' DM folder where you could message even strangers or just those whom you follow. "Hey! How you doing stranger..."
Mood Indicator
More often than not, Tweets are all about the day, happenings and the feelings related to it. It would be great if we could get smileys and emoticons to go with the tweets... "Aaarrrgghhh Twitter, Y U No listen? X( >:( :'( "
Check-in Tweets
You might be the mayor or the President or just a common man on Foursquare. But like those awesome Facebook status updates which let you tag your friends and yourself at a particular place, Twitter forces everyone to check-in via third party apps. We wish Twitter let us tweet our direct location too! ABC @XYZ @LMN are at Machu Pichu. Easy, no?
