How To Share Your FaceBook Album With Someone Not on Facebook

Why Share?

A lot has been said about Facebook privacy or rather the lack of it. However, there are times with the privacy settings seem strongest and secure your images and albums. But what if you want to share a private album with someone not on Facebook? No, please don’t give us the Picasa or Dropbox answers. We want to share only via, FB, don’tcha geddit?
So here goes. Some easy tips for you to share your FB album album with that Neanderthal friend still away from the site.

Go to your Timeline

Yeah, guess what! You gotta go and click on your name in the top right corner and let Facebook take you to your timeline. Once there, click on the ‘Photos’ option.

Choose the Album

Once you know have decided on which album you want to share, click on the album. Once you open the album, let all the images completely load. You need not scroll to the bottom as the option for sharing is right at the top.

Get Link

To the top of the album, on the right hand side, you will see a gear button. Click on the gear button and you will be presented two options: Get Link and Delete Album. Choose the Get Link option.

Link Generated

Once you click the ‘get Link’ option, you will be given a link which you can copy and share with as many people as you want. Clicking on the link will redirect anyone, irrespective of whether they are on Facebook, to your images.

Points to Remember:

1. While you can share your album with anyone and everyone, remember that the other person can only see thumbnails of your images and they are not expandable. To view the complete image, the person still needs to be logged on to Facebook.
2. Also, use the link with discretion as the link gives access to your complete album to a stranger/someone not over FB. The link can easily be reshared and accessed by multiple people.
3. This is the method to share a complete album. Incase you want to share a single image, right-click the image, open in a new tab and at the bottom right, you will find the option to ‘Get Link’. Get the link and follow the same steps as above to share.
