Associated Aircraft Crash: Death Toll Now 15 As Another Survivor Dies

Fatalities in the Associated Airline crash of Thursday October 3rd have increased to fifteen.

One more of survivors, Taiwo Akintunde has died from complications of the tragic accident, Saharareporters has learned.

 

A medical source in LASUTH told Saharareporters that Taiwo Akintunde died about at about 6pm on Monday.

He was one of the seven survivors from the fatal crash of the Embraer plane operated by Associated Airline, which was chartered to ferry the corpse of former governor of Ondo State, Late Olusegun Kokumo Agagu last Thursday.

 

On Saturday, one of the seven survivors identified as Hassan died from a critical injury he had from the crash, leaving the number of survivors at six.

The source at LASUTH had suggested that there were two of the survivors in critical states before one of them died on Saturday. The source had also indicated that the second of the two had very faint chances surviving.

 

Akintunde’s body was moved to the morgue at about 10:00 pm Monday night according to the source.

He was said to have suffered severe head injuries from the crash as well as other critical damages in delicate organs of the body.
