Former Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu is one of the members of President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet who resigned to pursue political aspirations.
Chukwu yesterday, October 20, officially handed over the affairs of the ministry to the Minister of State for Health, Dr Khaliru Alhassa at the Federal Ministry Health office in Abuja.
This was after the former minister had performed the final duty of addressing Nigeria’s Ebola-free status which was announced by the World Health Organization.
Chukuwu will reportedly be contesting the governorship elections of his native state, Ebonyi.
