This is obviously the reason why some normal air travelers are always nervous when they are set to embark on an air journey, when a first-timer opens a plane’s emergency exit ‘for fresh air’. Who does that??? This video was posted later on YouTube showing the inflatable emergency exit chute being deployed when the door was opened. The aircraft is shown to be stationary at this time.
The passenger opened the door on the Xiamen Air flight from Hangzhou to Chengdu in China just as the plane was readying for take-off. Alarmed passengers naturally reached for their camera-phones first – this is 2014, people are ready to be news breakers at any time of the day especially with their smart phones after all – but also alerted crew.
According to the South China Morning Post, this man opened the door and looked around in wonder before a stewardess explained gently that this wasn’t the done thing on aircraft. Thankfully, the plane still took off on time – and understanding crew forgave him as he was a ‘first-time passenger’. JJC like a typical Nigerian will say.
To all other “Johnny Just comes”, Please never ever ever, try to do this on a Plane. Lol.
