Security has been beefed up and passengers are being carefully scanned at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) after a threat message was found scribbled on a wall of the men's toilet at the airport late on Tuesday.
The note, found inside a toilet in the Level 2 of Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, read “ATTECK BY ISIS DATE 10/01/15 (sic)”.It appeared to have been scribbled on the wall using a pen.
"We are probing the matter. Though it is a suspected mischief played by someone, we are not taking any chances. Security has been beefed up," said deputy commissioner of police (zone Vlll) Virendra Mishra. After reading the threat message, the cleaning staff informed the CISF, which then called the police."We are going through the CCTV footage in the airport premise to go through those who have used the toilet after late evening," said a police officer of the Sahar police station.
