Nigerians debut #BabaWhileYouWereGone Twitter trend To Welcome Gen. Buhari Back To Nigeria

Nigerians on social media on Friday created a new hashtag #BabaWhileYouWereGone with which they are now running social commentary across social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

The hashtag, which appears to have gone viral, essentially speaks to the return of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, to Nigeria after almost two-week sojourn in the United Kingdom.

What I dare say began as a casual Facebook post by a Funke Phillips did not only build a conversation but birthed a twitter hashtag; #BabaWhileYouWereGone.

Numerous acts in the Nigerian political scene, many of them hilarious, have been reported to GMB via this hashtag to fill him in on what happened while he was away.
