Thugs armed with machetes, guns and other weapons were said to have besieged the area of Oshodi today, March 26.

The attackers were said to be wearing hoods while shooting sporadically and harassing residents.
Commercial vehicle drivers are reported to have discharged their passengers and driven off in fear, causing gridlock in the process.

Soldiers are said to have arrived in the area demanding all passersby to raise up their hands.

The violence is also said to have spread into the Costain and Maryland areas of the state though these reports have not been confirmed.
